Now he was [b]living by the [c](B)oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, and these were [d](C)allies with Abram. 14 When Abram heard that (D)his [e]relative had been taken captive, he [f]led out his trained men, (E)born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and went in pursuit as far as (F)Dan. 15 (G)He divided [g]his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and [h]defeated them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is [i]north of (H)Damascus.
